Chill In the Air

Down my legs
and up my arms,
this sensation
truly disarms.

Little bumps
cover my flesh
from the air
dry, cool, and fresh.

Am I sick
or is it mumps?
Then I realize
it's just goosebumps!

I've off visiting colleges for my oldest daughter this weekend. Check out all the amazing poetry happening by visiting this week's Poetry Friday host, Jama at Jama's Alphabet Soup!

    1. Thanks, Liz! Goosebumps are weird, especially when you haven't felt them in a long while. =)

  2. Don't know how I missed your link, Bridget. This is terrific. Goosebumps/shivers, not always weather related are they? Ending is good!

    1. Thanks, Linda! We are always excited to feel our first goosebumps of the season. May the rest of fall/winter bring lots of goosebumps.
      =)
