Back To School Bake

As the temperatures rise,
my IQ drops.
In my hot classroom,
it feels like time stops.

Fans are whirring,
teacher's voice I can't hear.
Why do we start school
in the hottest month of the year?

      I know, Liz, it just doesn't seem to make sense, except for the fact that they seem to heading toward a year round schedule without saying so. =)
